Meet Abby Park
I'm Abby, your resident plant lady, bird nerd, and maker of things. In 2022, after 17 years of working as a graphic designer and creative director, I took a much needed break from office life to rekindle my love of art and nature.
I started Fresh Cuttery with a laser cutter and an idea - to create original, wearable works of art that showcase the infinite beauty of the natural world.
Using wood as my canvas, I paint jewelry for those who want to express their love of nature. From flowers and veggies, to fungi and forest creatures, my tiny paintings bring joy to their owners and those around.
My jewelry often tells a story for its wearer, the favorite bird sighting on a family trip, the fleeting moment of a blossom opening on a summer day, or the magical moment of finding twenty pounds of Chicken of the Woods in the forest (true story).

Process
Each piece starts with an original digital illustration based on a plant or animal. These illustrations are laser-etched into cherry wood to create a painting canvas. In some cases, I layer multiple pieces of wood to create a 3D effect. I delicately paint each item to create a one-of-a-kind wearable work of art.
